This allows you to use the car more efficiently off-road: it is easy to move in a rut or through a swamp at a minimum speed without the risk of stalling, to overcome long stretches of mud at high speed, using the full potential of the engine. Also, increasing the reduction ratio is recommended when installing large-radius wheels - this reduces the additional load on the engine and transmission components.
