Electric winches are not designed for continuous use and damage to the electrical system may result from prolonged use. The overheating protection relay automatically opens the power supply circuit of the winch control unit when the permissible current is exceeded, thereby protecting the electric motor, solenoid and contact wires from failure. The relay is used for electric winches with an operating voltage of 12-220 volts.
The device consists of three relays connected in series with a working current of 150A, which together are designed for a load of 450A. The relay is connected to the circuit between the power source (battery) and the winch, to the power wire (plus wire) and turns on automatically when the permissible current is exceeded.
