A snorkel is an external air intake for a car engine. The device is a pipe coming from the engine, brought out to the level of the roof of the car or higher. The snorkel is designed to prevent water from entering the engine and allows the engine to operate underwater.
By drawing air much higher from the road surface, the snorkel reduces the ingress of sand and dust into the air filter.
Application
It is used for installation on UAZ 452 BUHANKA vehicles, a cargo model range for passing water barriers and driving on unpaved roads.
Benefits
The raised air intake point prevents moisture from entering the engine when forcing water obstacles. redBTR snorkels have a sufficient flow area for proper operation of petrol and diesel engines.
redBTR snorkels are made from impact-resistant LPDE material - they are strong enough to prevent chipping and other damage when moving through trees and dense shrubs.
