Destination
Longitudinal torque rods (sticks) are an element of the front suspension that limits the movement of the steering knuckles. During a fast ride, the longitudinal bars act as a stabilization of the front wheels from the loads that occur in the longitudinal direction, often occurring during braking, acceleration, as well as from bumps in the road.
Reinforced longitudinal rods are designed to adjust the castor angle, with an increase in its value by 3˚ and higher in comparison with the standard indicator. This contributes to the stabilization of the front wheels in the direction of a straight-line movement, with more confident movement on the track without "steering". Jet rods (sticks) allow you to move the front axle forward by 10 mm, preventing the wheels from touching the body part, and also allow you to install wheels of a larger diameter.
Applicability
They are installed on vehicles manufactured by UAZ LLC Hunter and Patriot, both for conventional and lifted suspension with a lift of up to 100 mm.
Description
Reinforced properties of longitudinal torque rods redBTR
Significantly exceed their strength characteristics in contrast to regular ones by 30%. The rods are made of low-alloy steel, grade 09G2S, which has a high level of ultimate endurance while maintaining the original characteristics in the temperature range from -70˚ to +425˚С. Alignment of the front axle shank. With these rods, the shank drops lower, which has a positive effect on the shank bearings and more intensive lubrication. In this position, the front axle shank itself and the transfer case shank become more parallel to each other. This favorably affects the life of the front propeller shaft, excluding the touch of the traverse at the extreme lower positions of the front axle.
